Day 1 • Welcome to the Land of the Rising Sun
- Arrive at Narita or Haneda International Airport and make your way to your accommoation in the heart of Shinkuju for the next 3 nights.
- Meet your Ubuntu Vegan Travel host in the hotel lobby before heading out together for the evening.
- Experience your first taste of Tokyo as you stroll through Shinjuku, famous for its dazzling neon lights and vibrant atmosphere.
- Finally, enjoy a welcome dinner at one of Tokyo’s most celebrated vegan restaurants, where you’ll meet your fellow travellers and receive a short tour briefing.

Day 2 • Ancient Traditions & Modern Tokyo
- After breakfast, explore the historic district of Asakusa, entering through the iconic Kaminarimon Gate, strolling along Nakamise Shopping Street, and visiting the magnificent Senso-ji Temple.
- Enjoy a delicious lunch at one of Tokyo’s carefully selected vegan restaurants.
- Visit the tranquil Meiji Jingu Shrine before wandering through the colourful streets of Harajuku and the famous Takeshita Street.
- Later, return to the hotel to relax or freshen up before the evening.

Day 3 • Hakone & the Majesty of Mount Fuji
- Today, journey from Tokyo to Hakone, one of Japan’s most famous onsen towns.
- Visit the peaceful Hakone Shrine before cruising across Lake Ashi, with views of Mount Fuji on clear days.
- Next, ride the spectacular Hakone Ropeway over the steaming volcanic landscape of Owakudani Valley.
- Enjoy curated plant-based lunch while exploring the Hakone region.

Day 4 • Hiroshima: A Story of Hope & Resilience

- Check in to your carefully selected hotel near Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park before beginning your exploration.

Day 5 • Miyajima & Kyoto's Timeless Beauty
- Optional: If you haven’t opted for the optional luggage forwarding service from Tokyo to Kyoto, then luggage storage is available at the Hiroshima Ferry Terminal.
- Take a scenic ferry to Miyajima Island, one of Japan’s most beautiful and iconic destinations.
- First, visit the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Itsukushima Shrine and admire its famous floating Torii Gate.

Day 7 • Amanohashidate & Ine: Kyoto Beyond the Crowds
- Today, depart Kyoto early for a full-day journey through the breathtaking landscapes of northern Kyoto Prefecture.
- First, visit Ine Village, one of Japan’s best-kept secrets, famous for its picturesque waterfront funaya (traditional boat houses), and enjoy free time to explore.
- Next, savour an included vegan lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant.
- Afterwards, continue to Amanohashidate, one of Japan’s Three Scenic Views, where you’ll have time to admire the spectacular sandbar, visit Chionji Temple, and take the scenic chairlift or monorail for panoramic views (optional).

- Next, experience an unforgettable shōjin ryōri (traditional Buddhist temple cuisine) lunch at the renowned Shigetsu, nestled within the historic Tenryu-ji Temple.
